Tim Danford

Head of Corporate Strategy

Tim is the head of Corporate Development and Strategy at Delart. He is a communications engineer with a deep background in WiFi, millimeter-wave, 4G, 5G, IP Networking, and VoIP. 

Tim has over 30 years of experience working in and investing in Silicon Valley companies, including Corporate Development at Cisco Systems, leading strategic investments and M&A transactions. He was a Managing Director at Storm Ventures, where he started and incubated multiple companies, including Airespace and Mobile Iron. Both returned 40% of the Storm funds invested in the two companies. He was a Venture Partner at Lightspeed Venture Partners and an Investment Director at Intel Capital.

Tim led a research team at Facebook Connectivity Lab, where he and Alireza worked together on the millimeter-wave Terragraph project.

Tim served in the U.S. Coast Guard, studied Criminal Justice at Kent State University, and completed the master's equivalent program at Applied Data Networking Institute in Madison, Wisconsin. Tim co-authored End-to-end Planning of Fixed Millimeter-Wave Networks, Cornell University Library, May 20, 2017, and was granted US Patent Virtual Instance architecture for mobile device management systems US8060074.
